OK- I have a week and a half old BlackBook. Just tonight up in in the menu bar it says the battery isn't charging. I looked up the issue in "help" and it says that the power source I'm using isn't strong enough to charge the battery, but I've plugged it in everywhere in the house and the office and nothing works. It worked fine this afternoon. Time to go to the genius bar? And yes, I've restarted and reseated the battery.

Not to sound panicky, but guys- I need this thing to be mobile. That's why I bought it. I have a tower at home. Please help if you can.

Take your battery out...

pop it back in and it should start charging. The MagSafe Charger should have a orange light. It'll turn green when it's fully charged. You need to download iStat and that'll show up in your Dashboard and you can monitor everything with a click of the Dashboard icon. KMA (Keep Me Advised).

I already did that- see my original post.

EDIT- OK, this is really weird. I just plugged it into a different outlet in my dining room and it started charging. Then I brought it back to the bedroom where I had it before and it's charging where it wouldn't before. Cause for alarm? Should I still take it in?

It should indicate the battery's level of charge at least until the indicator light is glowing continuously. Your battery may need to be replaced from the sounds of it.

I did all that. But read my previous post. This is very strange. And now it's charging- and it's charging in the room it wouldn't charge in before.
