i got my mbp a little over a month ago and now already the battery doesn't charge to 100 it stops at 99 and says the charge is complete. this is not good especially since my mbp is so new
I need advice on what to do about this

I found that my MBP would only charge to 99% as long as it was turned on. Once I closed the lid and left it for a few minutes, the power adapter turned green and it was charged 100%. Might be thats all you've got to do.

Check your battery health and how many cycles your battery has gone through.

if you unplug your computer and it goes down to 98%or 96% and plug it back in it won't charge it. it will only charge your computer to 100% if it goes below 95%. try letting it go below that and plug it back into the power cord and it should charge back to 100%
