I got this laptop about a month ago. The battery cycles have only gotten to 24. but i cannot get more than 2 hrs on the battery with internet and medium brightness. any clues? - the battery health also says 100% but i swore last week i got 4.5 hrs.

bad battery

you must have a bad battery, if you got a warranty call apple to get a new one, or try and see what other people have to say about their batterys

My MacBook 2.16 was 6 months old...

and I had 20 cycles on it and health kept showing 100% as well. Select Apple>About This Mac>More Info>Power and check those reading. Most important are the two readings that are numbers like: 4500 mAh and 3700 mAh. Let us know that info.

My battery shows 66 cycles and still has 100% health. Did you calibrate the battery when you got it? I use mine on battery power every day. When it is getting low, I plug it in and recharge it. I get usually up to 4 hours a day on my charge.

You are not the first to complain about the battery life in the new 2.4 Macbook. So cooler battery, but half the life.

the best thing to do is call apple customer service and talk to them. I took my battery into the local store and the work didn't get documented at all, happened again several months later, called this time, no documentation on file. best bet call and they will take good care of you. just be nice on the phone . you got to give them your cc# for exchange service also.

I'm on my 3rd macbook battery ..
