I have had my iPHone 5 for 22 months. About a year in it would die at 17%. Tried everything
.
Recently is started dying at 34%.
Took it is to the Apple store and the genius said
."Your battery is above 80% and we consider it fine. There is nothing we can do. He suggested I restore the phone and then wait and see if the problem was resolved as the phone could be telling the battery to misbehave.
I said BS, and even if the phone was somehow causing the phone battery to die I am not going to leave with my broken phone and test it some more. I could not keep coming back to resolve the problem.
After some arguing he agreed to replace the phone and not ding one of my 2 damage replacements.
Been using the replacement and I even did a restore of my backup. Phone is perfect. Battery life is GREAT! Its likes its a different phone. So I am convinced the batteries in early iPhone 5's had major issues!
Get to a store and insist on a replacement.
