Hi Guys,

Just wondering if it is me or if having the battery % visible bothers some of you too? I will be browsing the web and see it drop 1-2% and then make mental notes about how that was quite fast.

When it’s just the icon I don’t get to see the reduction as much only when it goes red.

I flip flop. I find that I obsess a bit about the % when I can watch it drain. But on the flip side there have been times where I know I’m going to have a late night and charge my phone because it looks likely it’s low but when I plug it in it’s actually at 50% or more

Currently I have it turned on

Icon only for me. Similarly, I always disable badge icons that show the numbers of unread messages/emails. I find it unpleasant and unnecessary to have those numbers in my face every time I look at my phone.

More generally, it seems that this forum is preoccupied with battery life and battery health in a way that I don't relate to. On a typical working day (office or WFH), I use my phone a lot but I'm never far away from a charging pad or cable. On a non-working day, I'm often walking, hiking or otherwise far from power, but I'm using my phone a lot less. So knowing the power to the precise % almost never matters to me.
