Last night I went on a case binge.
In addition I've got a black Apple bumper from the free case program and an Incipio NGP (TPU) from Walmart. My wife has the Griffin Motif (TPU) from the free case program. While I like the protection and feel of the two TPU cases, the Incipio is bulky and while the Griffin is a little more svelte, it is still noticeable in a pocket. And both TPU cases sort of hide the great design of the iPhone 4.
Those TPU case design elements have made me grow to like the Apple bumper as a minimalist solution. It feels best in the hand and in the pocket. But, it still hides the metal antenna design behind the black plastic and totally changes the look of the phone.
So, my search continues. I think the black Hula with the clear band of plastic around the antenna will make it look almost "naked". Likewise, the SGP Neo Hybrid EX in Satin Silver will at least cover the antenna with plastic that looks like stainless steel and preserve the "naked" look.
The SGP Neo Hybrid EX in Reventon Yellow definitely doesn't preserve the naked look but I thought it looked "sporty". The black and yellow sort of reminds me of a piece of dive gear or a sports watch.
Anyway, I should have them all in hand in a week or so. I'll post some impressions once I've compared all the bumpers. If anyone else has some first hand experience or another cool bumper alternative, I've love to hear about it.
