So I have a mid 2007 intel core 2 duo iMac with a 1.83 GHz processor, 2 GB of RAM and 160 GB harddrive. I have it bootcamped, using 20GB of the harddrive for the windows partition.

I tried to install Battlefield 2 in windows, but it doesn't work. The installation goes smoothly but when I start the game, the screen turns black returns to my desktop without loading the game.

I have the right specs to run the game, and I have installed all of the latest drivers, so what is going wrong?

BF2 is well known for simply crashing to desktop on normal Windows PC's. I had this on my old XPSP3 PC. Gave up trying to get it to work until the next time I was doing a clean install of XPSP3. This time I installed BF2 and all the patches and it worked fine. BF2 + all the Patches can be very temperamental.

Just google "BF2 crash to desktop".
