I'm quite disappointed by how little publicity the game Battlestations Midway has got. Hardly anyone knows about it, despite it being a very well made game. The Mac port is a fully native (Intel-only) one; it doesn't have any of that Cider crap, so it runs very well.
It's a World War II navy-based game that is a mix between strategy and simulation-like control of a battleship. It allows you to issue orders to your fleet, but also lets you take direct control of individual ships.
Not only does the game involve battleships and submarines, it also lets you fly warplanes and control squadrons.
The graphics are very good, the gameplay is well designed and the multiplayer, although it doesn't support bots, is excellent... if you can find people to play with. The game uses the Gameranger multiplayer system, but there are rarely people online who also have this game.
