I’ve been on the fencepost of buying digital photo frame for work.
Black Friday deal 7" 16x9 size @ BB for $44, bought it.

3 days of usage at work, my quick review:

Pro:
-Very cheap price ($44, normally $80)
-Bright/clear display
- 800 x 480 resolution and 500:1 contrast ratio, you don’t see pixels like the other low priced ones which are at 480 x 234 resolution. (saw one at the store, waste of money IMO)

Cons:
Software related/easily fixable (IMO):
-picture display time, 5 sec, 10 sec, 30 sec, 60 sec, 60 min, 24 hour. I feel should include 5min and 15 min, distracting @work changing every minute, every 60 min too long. Software choice.
-1GB too many files for flat org system, need folders and method to select which folder(s) files to display
-Power save/shutdown have these defaults: 15 min, 30 min, 1hr, 2hr, 6hr…… “std” work day is 8 hours, give1 hr lunch so 9 hr should be there as well.
-start up always at 1st file, not last viewed file.
Hardware related:
-16:9 leaves mostly black bars along sides, 4:3 more relative to photos

Overall, for $44 a value digital photo frame, it seems the software fixes Insignia could easily have programmers do and that would really make this outstanding value.

I'd easily buy this as a gift for others.
