'I know what you did'

By the creators of League of Gentlemen

Psychoville

Not so sure about Dawn French… but probably worth a look. With a children's entertainer clown with a hook for a hand, it looks promising.
Starts tonight (18th June) BBC Two 22:00.

I. Can't. Effin. Wait.
I'm a mega fan of The League of Gentlemen and all that, and you couldn't imagine my surprise when my girlfriend told me she went to school in the village over from where they filmed it :D. But yea. Should be a good one this, about time the BBC made a comedy that tossed all that jolly hoohah, hardcore politically correct comedy aside and given these writers a platform again. I just hope they don't hold back and simultaneously make me laugh and give me nightmares.

Well I liked it! Seems a bit more structured than LoG, which I suppose is good. The blind guy and the midwife seemed a bit boring but the scene at the kids party and the book reading scene had me lolling :D. Good stuff.

Nice to see you've met a girl who's... local. ;)
Hehe :D. I always knew they filmed it nearby (it's about 5 miles from me), it's literally just over the hill on Saddleworth Moor. Just gives it an extra, relatable feeling to it. And I think I need to watch all of LoG again now...

It was alright, that. We'll have to see how it develops.

Indeed. The first episode was alright…

The second episode is a lot better. :D

Agreed. With the other characters you don't see the actor portraying them, but with the midwife all I could see was, well, Dawn French doing her Dawn French mannerisms™.

It's coming along very nicely indeed.

The scene with Baby Freddy and his food was brilliant - it gave me a cold shiver!

Loved the twist with Jelly! This is getting better :D although that VHS gag could be spotted a mile off.

yeah i got that. was wondering if they were also connected to little britain. "No" though, eh?

Little Britain is by David Walliams and Matt Lucas

League of Gentlemen is and by Reece Shearsmith, Mark Gatiss, Steve Pemberton and Jeremy Dyson. Although iirc Jeremy Dyson does not appear in the show.

Psychoville is written by Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith.

Maureen and the "Witches of eBay" are excellent.

Thank god the answer to that is no.

Oh very nice getting him on an episode :D
*to not cause potential jolly spoilers.

Bit of a stale episode though.
