BBM Reviews a bit odd?

Something seems off with the reviews on Google Play for BBM!

A lot of the reviews seem eerily familiar....

Do we have some BlackBerry astroturfers on Google Play? I've had a look on my iPhone and the reviews have a distinct lack of any mention of "user friendly and smooth"

While looking at the Verge's Ipad Air hands-on I happened to notice the topic you started on the right hand side of the page. Good observation on your part!

It seems the BlackBerry fake reviews have started a meme which could be described as user friendly and smooth.

Some of those reviews had the shady text but only gave 3 stars. Not exactly doing a great job of posting fake reviews.

Nobody will catch on if they don't give 5 stars every time.

It's sad but I almost don't mind Blackberry doing this. Desperation is a smelly cologne to wear, but at least they have an excuse (they can see the end if they don't get SOMETHING going soon).

Samsung, on the other hand...

Noticed this when I saw the App Store reviews are more reflective of the user's opinion on the app.

Still haven't added anyone on BBM, most of my friends are stuck in the queue.

EDIT: Apparently whatever's autoreviewing the app is now rating the app at 3 stars. Likely to give the impression of legitimacy but the reviews are the same...
