10.6.8 OS. Recently started hanging- often. 4gb RAM. Factory stock...
With web browsers- Safari or Firefox- same hang. Same way with any function.

All APPS closed but the one.

Ran Disk Verify and it quickly closed and said to run OS CD. Reloaded from Factory OS disk. Did all up-dates and it still hangs.

Open Activity Monitor and go to the System Memory* tab and look for Page Outs and Swap used after a day of typical usage and not right after a restart and report back.
