Apps Beamer and Plex

I'm, currently using Plex to view my movie library on my computer; however, I haven't discovered how to view them on my Tv in conjunction with my apple Tv and Beamer. Dragging and dropping them from Finder works great; but I would like to do the same directly from Plex into Beamer. Anyone know how to do this? Don't even know if its possible! And I do know how to view my movies through my Apple Tv; I just prefer Beamer.

There is a Plex app for Apple TV if you have a compatible Apple TV, thats probably the easiest solution.

I have three Apple Tv's; but not the one that has the Plex App. I'm going to try the Plex Forum; I'm sure there must be a way.

Plex app is only for Apple TV 4 and is downloadable via the App Store.

Is one of the Apple TV's a version 2 model? If so you can Jailbreak it with the free season pass application and then install Plex. I used it for years that way, it was great. Now I have the ATV4 so I use the Plex app from the App store, it works great as well.

Of course just drag and drop to Beamer works well but sounds like you want the scrapping of metadata that Plex offers.

If people are using Beamer, zen do NOT update Apple TV to the latest version, it will not work any longer.
