So I was living the sunset purple until I went out for like a few hours to the mall and quick lunch and when I got home, I found a tiny dent in the back already. No keys or anything in my pockets.

Sadly I returned it.

Some pics when I first got it

iPhones genuinely cases went down the hole after they decided to discontinue the good old leather case. Man, I miss those.
The last few leather case releases were also a drop in quality but somehow still are better than the other options generally. Nobody quite figured out using real leather on a thin frame as well as they did from iPhone 5-iPhone 11

I was looking at the clear, silicone and Beats cases for iPhone 16 and noticed that - unlike in previous generations (at least with leather) - they have removed the metal/hard plastic volume and power switches which gave a nice tactile feel. Now they are just the same squidgy material as the rest of the case. I find it hard to see the value for €59.

Beats case:

pros:
+ buttons have a nice tactile feedback due to rigidity (unlike silicone case)
+ bottom is exposed making bottom swiping easy and unobstructed (unlike silicone case)
+ very easy to disinfect super smooth surface with alcohol wipes
cons:
- plastic always feels wet and greasy, even with clean hands (unlike silicone case)
- super smooth surface has zero friction with other surfaces, causing slips and slides (unlike silicone case)
- bottom is exposed making it vulnerable and prone to damage (unlike silicone case)
