Beats Solo 4 for $100 is actually pretty tempting.

I've probably spent ~$80 already buying cheapo $15-25 wired headphones for my kids iPads. And one way or another, the cords always eventually go bad. It's like they're using the thinnest metal, with the fewest strands possible. Visually the cord looks fine, but inside around the pressure points it always breaks after 3-6 months. And this is just from wrapping the cord, the headphones themselves are not abused at all.

I hindsight, I probably would be better off buying the Beats Solo 4 once and being done with it.

I just picked up the Beats Studio Pro. They will be replacing a well-used pair of Sony WX-1000 and if they provide the same quality with perhaps a bit of a better fit, I'll be happy.
The Sony set has over 2,000 hours on them and the battery is getting a bit janky.

Costco had the Beats Studio pro for $159 and that included 2 years of AppleCare+. Not sure when that deal ends if it hasn’t already. I got them last week for my son.

just saw them for the same price at costco, which includes 2 years of applecare+, so if youʻre a costco member that might be the way to go...

Just my 2 cents on Beats Studio Pro - they sound great, and work nicely swapping between Mac/iPhone/iPad easily. Fold up small and the case is quite tiny. Battery life is good. The battery indicator is awesome, Apple needs to bring that back to the Mac again.

My one major complaint - I hate the buttons. The center play/pause button is so clicky and loud (it just pings directly into your ear) when you are wearing the headphones, and just super loud in general. This also applies to the volume buttons - everyone in the room will know you are changing volume.

I moved to the Sonos Ace and am liking them much better, though they are a step up in price (On sale recently for $299.)

That is a terrific deal. By the time I factor in driving to our nearest Cosco and purchasing, then the drive home I am out more than the $40.00 difference.
-These headphones arrived today and although not quite as comfortable as the Sony's I do like the sound quality. I will have to get used to the Spartal sound though.
