Beats/Music App/Glances???

Know this is in flux and soon to be an outdated question/observation. When I use the iPhone Music App I get artist/time info on the Music App. However when I use Beats I don’t get this info even though I can still control the App. If I use Glances I get the artist/time info with Beats.

Why does Glances show this info but the Music App doesn’t?

The glance on your watch is not your music app, its just a now playing glance. Any music app you use will show in your glance. I use Spotify and I'm able to see what is playing and skip tracks.

The music app on your phone is, well, the music app and only plays music from iTunes. (owned music, radio, etc)

I can Skip/Pause/Play in the Music App with Beats even though I don't see the info like in Glances. Can you also control Spotify in the Music App?
