I just purchased a brand new pair of Solo 2 Wireless. I am absolutely dumbfounded as to why I am not able to activate Siri in BT wireless mode with a product that was released under Apple's supervision. I also own a pair of PowerBeats 2, which are able to active Siri via the control stick. It should be noted that the Solo2's come with a plug-in wire with a control stick which does allow the headphones to activate Siri via the control stick, just like the PowerBeats 2.

This is unacceptable for a pair of $299 headphones.

i really enjoy the sound and fit of these headphones, and will seriously re-consider keeping them if Apple/Beats can't update them via firmware upgrade to work with Siri.

Studio wireless are the same way. You can start siri via the phone, but just can't activate her via bluetooth. BTW, the Solo 2 wireless are $299

Yep, thanks for the correction. Updated in my post.

It astounds me that the Solo2's are a newer product and yet they aren't able to activate voice functionality (Siri), but yet the older PowerBeats2 (released earlier this year?) can perform the function via its control stick.

Just got the red pair at Verizon...not readily available anywhere else yet...they rock!

Other colors are also available at Apple retail stores in some areas. None on display yesterday when I visited.

Question: when wearing the solo 2 wireless and pressing the play/pause button, can you hear it? The studio ones do, kinda of annoying.

There is an audible "click" from the actual button mechanism, but I suspect you can hear that because it's so close to the ear.
