Hey guys, so because the 6 and 6 plus have one gb of RAM, does this mean that the 5s will last just as long as the 6 in software updates? We all said that the iPhone 5s biggest downfalls, and reasons why it won't last as long as the 6, is because of its RAM. The A7 is a powerful chip, almost as powerful as the A8 in synthetic benchmarks. SO, do you think that the 5s will run the same OS as the 6 will? We all KNOW that the 5s is guaranteed to iOS 10 and the 6/6+ to iOS 11, so could the 5s make it to iOS 11? Obviously the minimum RAM for iOS 11 will be one gig, so I'm betting that it could make it. What do you think?

Even if it technically could I highly doubt that Apple will support it that long.

I thought the exact same! I think that the 5s could run iOS 11, but at that point, 2017, I don't think Apple will support a phone from 2013.

iOS 11? What happened to 9 and 10?

I'm 99% sure that the 5s will have no trouble running iOS 9 and 10. People here have told me that one of the biggest limiting factors of the 5s will be the amount of RAM, but the iP6 has 1 gig too.
