How can I do this? Do I have to have a certain amount of useful posts? No infractions? Do I have to donate some money? Do I have to have people here like me? :D Are there too many mods at the moment so any more is useless?

Any insight would be gladly appreciated. Thanks.

Sorry :( I can imagine it must get annoying when you have to reply to the same queries.

I doubt there are any plans about new mods as 8 new mods were announced only 2 weeks ago. MacDawg's link explains all you need.

I doubt it either, but my guess is they are constantly monitoring (even now) for those they would like to invite to be a moderator when the time comes.

Yeah, I'm sure they do that. You can't pick new mods on a whim :p I think you can't do anything else but to be yourself and helpful. If you are what the admins are after, then you may be asked to join the mod team, someday. Maybe.
