My Hexcore Mid-2010 Mac Pro emits a very brief "beep" sound when it powers on or immediately before it shuts down. Sometimes the sound lasts but 1/4 of a second, sometimes longer at 1/2 a second, and sometimes it doesn't occur at all. It seems to be somewhat related to the power supply as it is less likely to occur if I unplug the machine for several hours, and more likely to happen if I leave it plugged in for several days and then shut down.
No adverse behavior or performance otherwise. Has anyone had this issue before? Could it be a sign that something's about to go bad?
