Hi, I am using an iPhone 12 Pro at the moment and the battery drain for 3D gaming is terrible, specifically for games like Call of Duty. There was an article saying 3 hours of 3D gaming and the battery would die for iPhone 12 Pro and in my case - it definitely is, it's very bad.

So this thread may be targeted more at 3D gamers, is there a massive improvement in iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max? What's your experience?

Hi! According to benchmarks, iphone 13 pro max battery lasts up to 2 hours longer than 12 pro max. As for your previous comment about the phone not holding up for 3 hours - that depends on the battery health as well as screen brightness, the kind of game you're playing, in-game graphic settings (if the game allows you to change it), apps you have opened in the background, etc.
p.s. also note that gaming is probably the most resource intensive thing you can do on the phone. Take that into account + high screen resolution + the fact that your phone is trying to constantly give out 60 or 120 fps (if it's supported by the game and your display) and you'll understand why there's a separate category of gaming phones with 4000-6000 mAh batteries (while iphone 12 pro has 2815 mAh)

I understand and I recall in the image below, the tests were also done on the predecessors such as iPhone 11 and I just wanted to confirm if iPhone 13s at least performed better than the 12 series.
