Please help, I'd really appreciate it.

I'm selling my 3GS (non-jailbroken) because I need the pocket money. I'm gonna sell it on Craigslist.

Before I meet with a buyer, what do I need to do?

I will:

- Restore iPhone to factory setting
- Erase all personal info and contacts, etc. etc. (duh!!!)
- Remove my SIM

Is that all? What do I need to tell AT&T? Can I just tell them I lost it, and that way I can replace it with a cheaper/different phone?

What happens to the person who buys it off me? If I report it lost to AT&T, will that affect the person who bought my phone or will they be OK? I don't want somebody knocking on my door asking for their money back after we made a deal!

Please just clear up those concerns for me... Thanks!

dont report it lost AT&T can track its EMEI (correct?) and chances are will s that your customer has it, thus creating a stuation in which your customer eas not pleased.

just tell AT&T the truth you sold your 3GS to downgrade to a different model
