Before I sell my Airport Extreme (Question)

Switched my internet provider this year and now they supplied a wireless router/modem, so thinking of selling the Extreme and replacing it with an Airport Express for the downstairs rooms. But before I sell the Extreme, are there steps I should take to wipe any information for security? How does this work? Apologies if this question seems odd, I just never sold anything like this before.

Seems like a bad move to me. I would keep and use the Extreme.
