Before Installing iOS 5...

Hi.
I'm asking this on behalf of my brother, who is thinking of paying £5 to one of these sites to get his UDID registered. I told him not to, since it still is only a beta, but he said he needed the new notifications! Anyway, I have a couple of questions about it:

1. Can he downgrade? What would he need to do, save his blobs? He isn't JB'en.
2. Would his warranty be void? He's on a 4th gen touch, which has warranty until November I think.

downgrade is possible, no SHSH blobs needed afaik.

you just need to kick it out of recovery after a DFU restore.

and it's a VERY stable beta. I wouldn't wanna give up the new notifications anymore.
