Hi,

A little bit confused - so hoping someone here could help me out.
I've done some reading online but haven't gotten any clearer.

I'm looking to get the Nikon D3100 camera and would like to be able to transfer the pictures and videos to my iPad 2 through the camera kit. My question before I purchase another piece of tech - will the video's transfer and be editable in iMovie if they are .MOV format.

Any help much appreciate.
Sign confused ;)

It should work as long as you save everything on an SD card rather then a CF card.

whatever videos you will try to import must be in the proper format.
Video formats supported: H.264 video up to 720p, 30 frames per second, Main Profile level 3.1 with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats; MPEG-4 video, up to 2.5 Mbps, 640 by 480 pixels, 30 frames per second, Simple Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps per channel, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats; Motion JPEG (M-JPEG) up to 35 Mbps, 1280 by 720 pixels, 30 frames per second, audio in ulaw, PCM stereo audio in .avi file format
