Glasgow press reported almost 24 hours ago that Apple has changed the name of the store in Glasgow from Apple Buchanan Street to Apple Glasgow.

And...?

I mean, that's great and all, but does it really matter that 9 to 5 published this and MR has not?

The folks at MR are not required to post every single last Apple related story.

Like it or not, Buchanan Street is always going to be that, too much history in it to be anything else, so Apple can call their store whatever it likes, nobody will here refer to it as anything but Apple Buchanan Street.

This is the second thread on this as if it is some kind of big deal. Apple can rename their store for any number of reasons, including things happening in the USA.

True, but as MR seem to be very interested in posting about Tim's pronouncements on the recent events in the US, I thought it remiss of MR not to post the store name change story. Just my view of course. Certainly a more interesting event than Apple Pay offering chicken burgers at Burger King for 1 buck

Well, I guess when you run your Apple focused website with international reach, then you can decide what stories to run.

Right now this feels very personal to you, rather than of huge interest to the Apple community at large.

Doesn't matter. Old news now 😎
