Interesting article from The Atlantic Cities that takes you behind the scenes of Google Maps. The sheer amount of data that google has collected over the past 6 years is astounding.

If Apple is going to be competitive in the mapping world, they're going to have to massively step up their game.

I don't care how pretty iOS Maps looks or if it has the over-glorified Apple badge, I'm not using the system until it gets me from point A to point B as accurately as Google Maps.

Sorry, I'd prefer not to take chances as opposed to cling onto some logo.

While I do like apple maps, I think it is not ready for the general public.
