I didn't even know any of the beige Macs could support it, but I have been able to enter deep sleep with my Beige G3( Rev. A ). Power light flickers on and off / PSU powers down all but trickle voltage.
This was under Mac OS X 10.4.11 with a SATA card installed in the lowest PCI slot and a Radeon 7000 PCI in the middle PCI slot.
Moving the SATA card to the highest slot seemed to disable deep sleep.
Anyone else ever get a Beige PowerMac to enter and exit deep sleep?
