Hi everyone!

Does apple usually have the Belkin screen protectors available and install them in store on release day?

I see I can buy it online with the self applicator but I am horrible at it.

Buy the ones online that come with an installion trey. They are so easy to put on. I've gotten the Spiegen the last 2 years. EZ Peazy.

Yeah it's so easy and you can't screw it up. Also you get 2 screen protectors for $15.99. Much cheaper than Apple I think. Look at them on Amazon.

Thanks!

Why is it 20 dollars cheaper on Amazon than spiegen website?

This is unclear. For the launch of the iPhone 13 series last September, there were major issues with the Belkin in-store screen protector applicators in Apple Store retail locations. Like, they mismanufactured all of them so globally, the screen protectors ”wouldn’t stick” to the screens, as I was told by some Apple Store managers. This happened on launch day, but it also happened for several weeks afterwards. So they had to recall all of them and stopped the program. Then they started the program again. Then stopped. And restarted. It was a mess.

Last year’s fiasco is all chronicled on this forum thread.

Fingers crossed that Apple learned their lesson this year and that there will be (actually functional) in-store applicators on launch day!

It was an absolute disaster. The apple stores are using iPhone 12 machines because they don’t have the 14 ones yet. The screen protectors are being applied too high and cover the ear piece.

No issues in Singapore too, they seemed to be all set up and prepared for the iPhone 14/Pros here. There was a little corner they had set up in the Apple store with a few people just putting on screen protectors...
