Belkin Bluetooth USB Adapter/iSync HELP!

Man, I am frustrated!

I have been patiently waiting for my Sony-Ericsoon P800 for over two weeks, and finally received it today. The Belkin Bluetooth USB Adapter (the one without the antenna) found the phone and was able to pair with it. I have been able to transfer files to the phone. However, iSync won't find the device.

Anyone have any ideas?

the P800 does not have calendar or to do item support - but address book should be ok...

I'm going to do the dodgy paranioa questions (I even use them on myself):

1. What version of iSync? and is the T800 compatible?
2. any hints available on the Apple support website?

I got into trouble with my t68i and the DLiink bt adapter - I followed the apple support solution (which was basically an export all/clean, import solution) and thingies worked fine...

but I'd check first the version and compatability list - the T800 was not compatible with the first iSync version

No, I should have mentioned those things...

iSync 1.1--which does offer address book (but not iCal) support for the p800.

OS X 10.2.6 (including the latest version of Bluetooth).

The only thing that seems a little odd to me is that I can't set up the device as a phone. When I search for phones it doesn't find any. When I widen the search to "Other" it comes up right away. I am guessing this might have something to do with it, since file transfers are working...

Apple's Knowledge Base suggests a few things (checking the firewall settings and either turning it off or punching a hole in it), but none have worked so far.

Also, many of the problems they cite have to do with problems after the iSync has found the device. It is not finding mine. The Bluetooth Preference Pane show it, but iSync doesn't find it.

Anyone else?

Got it. Had to set up the phone after the "Other Device" was set up. Thanks for the help, Aciddan.
