Hello.

I just bought a belkin cushtop for my fiance, she is constantly putting her macbook on a pillow and then on her lap, so I figured this would be perfect.

I've seen a couple of reviews, but they were nothing fantastic, and you know how it is, you buy something new and you want to kill the time before it gets to you.

So does anyone on here have this? How do you guys like it?

Thanks a million!

I have it and like it. I got it at Frys for 10 bucks. Only problem is the MBP tends to slide off if tilted at all.

My uMBP 15" slides off all too easy. I did flip it the opposite way around (larger surface area on top) and that helped, but its still way too non grippy. I had it before I had the uMBP though.

Hmm... I'm starting to think I should've made this thread before I put in the order... lol.

not worse than a pillow though. The softness/maleability of a pillow is basically the ideal way to cut off airsupply to a macbook since all the vents on on the back. I've done it before and my MBP (Classic SR) gets very hot and very loud.

If the pad is overly slippery maybe try getting a small sheet of that grip-deck stuff to put under the laptop.

Good thinking, if its really slippery I'll see if theres some type of material I can somehow attach to it or something.

Thanks for the constructive addition to the thread.

Gear down big rig. I'm not the only one. What else can I tell you other than it looks like it will have the same ill-effects on the laptop that a pillow does? My notebook is on my lap on a pillow and running hotter than normal. I would have just hoped you looked into other products. Is that what you wanted to read cranky butt?

Try iLap.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I think because its not squishy like a pillow the feet on the bottom of the macbook should be able to let alittle air circulate underneath.

I'll see how it is anyway once I get it.

Can anyone else comment on this?

It wont block air like a pillow. Get some of that grip stuff on a roll. The kind that people put in cabinets and tool chest drawers. Or be like me and put the rubber stick on feet(the ones that come with audio equipment) on the bottom. Their way better than the ones that are stock.

Interesting idea, will definitely see what I can do when it comes. Thanks.

I purchased this a while ago for the GF and she loves it. She normally uses it while on her bed or the sofa. It elevates the notebook perfectly and at a great screen angle.

highly recommended
