Belkin FM transmitter not working since update??

Hey gang - I have a iPhone 3G that has worked seamlessly since I bought it. Since I've downloaded the update, I've had crashing and all sorts of fun. Now my Belkin FM Transmitter MADE FOR iPhone which has always worked without any problem....I get the fabulous "this accessory not made to work with iPhone" and it wants to switch me to airplane mode. Any ideas what the deal is with this? I've tried it countless times over several days. I've shut down and restarted. Is there a way to revert back to 3.0, which I had no problems with?

Any suggestions are appreciated.
