Belkin iris screen protector cut out? why?

Hi guys,

I was wondering if someone knew why belkin has a strange cut out at the bottom of the homebutton? is there any good reason for this?

You mean the 1 and 2? Looks if that is it, they look like aides to help apply the product.

No i mean the cut out on the bottom of the screen protector, just under the home button.
