Belkin today added to its lineup of wireless chargers with a range of new special Boost Charge wireless charging options.

The Boost Charge 3-in-1 Wireless Charger Special Edition, priced at $130, allows the iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods to be charged at the same time. There's an upright charger for the iPhone, a charging puck for the Apple Watch, and then the AirPods charge right behind the Apple Watch in a dedicated charging space.

The design of the special edition charger is similar to the original 3-in-1 Boost Charge, which we reviewed back in June. The special edition version has a different upright charging base and a rectangular shape, plus it comes in black or white. It charges the iPhone at 7.5W and the AirPods at 5W.

Belkin's Boost Charge Portable Wireless Charger and Stand Special Edition, priced at $80, is a wireless charger with a built-in battery pack that can be used for charging on the go.

The 10,000mAh battery pack attaches to the charging stand and wirelessly charges the iPhone in an upright landscape or portrait position when connected, but it can be detached and used when traveling. The battery pack charges the iPhone wirelessly, and also has an extra USB-A port.

Belkin's last new product, the $70 Boost Charge Wireless Charging Pad Special Edition, is a standard round wireless charging pad that comes in either black or white. Like Belkin's other charging options, it chargers your iPhone at 7.5W, the maximum available charging speed.

The Charging Pad is made from chrome and stainless steel with a non-slip charging surface that ensures the iPhone stays in place.

All of Belkin's new wireless chargers are available today from the Belkin website and will also be available soon from Apple.

Nice, but these and also logitech's new similar one are a bit pricey for what they do.

I like Belkin's products, but their product lineup makes my head spin. There are at least 3 or 4 versions of each of their wireless chargers (stands and pads), and it's not at all clear what the differences are between them.

if the Belkin's Boost Charge Portable Wireless Charger and Stand Special Edition had the watch and air pod charger they would have something unique

also the major flaw in this product is “wirelessly, and also has an extra USB-A port.”

so yet another USB-A cable to deal with when definitely not needed.

I’m beginning to think Apple’s M-Fi or whatever certification keeps insisting that lightning cables force a partners products to keep supporting USBA when it’s barely needed anymore.

case in pint not just this product but also Logitech’s Unifying adapters STILL does not come in USB-C connections. Why?!

WAAAYYY pricey! And I don't really trust their products much anymore, based on experiences I've had in the past... the quality has been on the mediocre side. I'll wait to see what Anker does here. They have a Watch+iPhone nightstand charger, but I haven't seen a 3-device charger like this, just yet.

Not a fan of wireless charging due to how inefficient it is. I like how organized this is though.

Now this one is a REALLY good design. I may well have to ditch my Nomad and get this one. This one does everything right:
1. Saves space by combining the Apple Watch and AirPods charger in a unique way, while keeping Nightstand mode possible for the Apple Watch, AND not negating every single Apple Watch that has a band that doesn't fully separate.
2. Has a stand up for iPhone making the positioning of iPhone extremely easy.

I've despised my Nomad charger since the day I got it. It looked nice, but is awful to use. It was not designed for the Apple Watch Series 4 which is slightly thicker than the Series 3, so the watch frequently slides off the charger. And good luck trying to position an iPhone correctly to get it to charge.

How good can this really be when:
1) You have to pay extra even for the basic warranty
2) You're told you need their wall charger with you likely dont
3) When the return policy is 14 days and unopened (huh?)

I like this design, but I am sure this is one that will break fast and be $60 down the drain unless I shell out $20 for 1 year, $50 for 2 years.

I made the mistake of buying the previous generation of overpriced Boost wireless charging on the Apple Store and it's crap. Sometimes I have to pick up and put down my iPhone on the charger three times until it starts to charge. And Belkin customer service is a Kafkaesque joke. Don't waste your money on this junk.

Bought anker wireless charger. Half the price in comparison to Belkin and very satisfied with the build quality.

Looks nice, but the AirPods charging function isn't wireless.

Agreed. The last product mentioned in the article, Boost Charge Wireless Charging Pad Special Edition looks almost identical to BOOST UP Special Edition Wireless Charging Pad that I am using.

What makes them "special"?
Belkin's "Special Edition" chargers are designed for Apple aesthetics and often sold at Apple Store. I read that Belkin makes many dongle accessories for Apple so these are probably as close to Apple designed as they get.

Otherwise, there's nothing special about them.

Seventy bucks for a charging pad?!? You have got to be kidding me. You can buy a great Mophie one for twenty, and it’s the same thing. Who are the idiots buying these that keep Belkin in business?

That can be a problem with your iPhone. You may find it gets progressively worse. Test by putting your phone on another charging pad or a different itoy on that charging pad.

Apple replaced my XS when it was doing this. Known issue.

FYI you can get that exact same one on AliExpress for half the price that site is selling it for. Just search for “3 in 1 wireless stand” and you’ll see quite a few people selling it.
