Belkin Micra case doesn't alleviate data speed issue

Hello,

I his got my free case today, the belkin micra case, and noticed that the death grip doesn't drop bars but the data speed still suffers.

1.5 megs on 3G on table
800kbs on 3G in tight grip

Does anyone else suffer the same problem? If not what case do you have?
