I am wondering if I can have a cheaper mac compatible wireless router.
Or to get the Apple Express, is AirTunes worth it?

I just don't know if it is worth it for 100 bones, instead of a 40 dollar router.

Thanks
L

ps: I reallllllly love my music.

Thanks so much guys. I do want something that works, with no headaches, and with the ability to have iTunes via the "air" ;)

You do get what you pay for. :apple:

The Airport Express is a great little router; if you will use the Airtunes functionality, it's a good choice; otherwise you're money is better spent on other products since just the router part, the Airport Express is a bit expensive considering it only supports 10 users.

Thanks GG, I will check the refurbished ones.
Thanks everyone, I won't need more than 10 people...just me in my house with my mac who needs wireless so i can break away from my desk. and the cords.

I have an Airport Extreme Time Capsule in my aparmtment in Hong Kong, and a Airport Extreme in the home in Dallas, both work flawlessly, and extremely easy to setup and change settings with Airport Utility. I use Airport Express for hotels and such and works wonders, I can use the internet while on the bed, or anywhere else in the room. Just plug in the airport express, the light turns green almost immediately, sign on to the hotel internet registry, and you're off!

All three are great products, worth every penny.

The AE is the choice then.

My friends, family, and I have owned several routers in the past, including Belkin, and none are easier to setup and manage than the Airports.
