Quick question for you router gurus out there

I have the Belkin N150 router, and most of the time when I wake my mac up from sleep, I will not be able to get an internet connection because the router doesn't assign it an IP so it self assigns. If I reboot the router, I am immediately able to get a connection.

My desktop never loses the connection since it is always on, the problem seems to only occur with my MBP since it breaks the connection when going to sleep.

Are there any settings within the router control panel or on my mac network settings that can resolve this issue?

Thanks in advance.
