OP: Not disagreeing with you, but would the screen be scratched if the protector wasn't there? If so it did it's job. To me treating a phone well means no scratches but that's subjective. As far as oleophobic, everything has it's limits and bacon gloves makes even an iPhone screen oily.

No I really don't think it would be honestly. I've had many many screen protectors on many phones and this is by far the worst I've ever had.
 
I picked these up because they were the only ones the local store actually had..... Sheesh. Never buying again. Not exactly the definition of oleophobic or scratch proof.

Oiled up like hell.

Check out powerSupport screen protectors, the apple store carried the non-glare style but they do carry a crystal film for the 5 and I have used it on my 4s with no problems. I'm currently using Ghost Armor (full body) on my 5. But that crystal film and anti-glare film is great.
