Trying to see if anyone else has this issue. I am using the Belkin F4U097 Thunderbolt 3 Pro Dock with my 16" MBP, if I let the computer go to sleep - usually overnight - when I wake up my computer the next morning, the monitor will not come out of sleep mode. Sometimes unplugging the DP cable from the back of the dock, waiting a minute and plugging it back in works, and other times it doesn't. The times that it doesn't work I have to restart my computer for it to pick the monitor up again and bring it out of sleep. I am using a Dell UHD P2715Q monitor if that makes any difference. Appreciate any feedback.

I also have the similar issue using a TB dock and external monitor with a Late 2011 17" MBP, and it is annoying.

Although, my MBP will wake up from sleep, but the monitor doesn't register any input.

I haven't found an exact solution, but a silly work around. I repeatedly press the arrow buttons on the external keyboard while pressing some of the buttons on the monitor and cycling the power of the monitor. The login screen comes on after about 10 seconds or so. Sometimes I have to turn off the monitor and back on again multiple times to get it work.

I am unsure why this works, but it does.

I do not plan on keeping the TB dock on the MBP for much longer, just while I am working on a project, but this would be really annoying to have it behave like this all the time.

Curious what kind of monitor it is you have? I'm using a 27" 4K Dell UltraSharp and it seems that I've seen a few people around the web have issues with these monitors on docks. Is yours a Dell as well?

My monitor did actually wake properly this morning and just installed 10.15.5 yesterday, not sure if it's permanently fixed or not but maybe something they did in the last patch has made it wake more reliably. Time will tell on that front.
