Belkin tunecast w/ lightning adapter

I am going to try to find a lightning adapter before a road trip this weekend. I have a belkin tunecast fm transmitter that works really well but I have heard some audio accessories don't work with the lightning adapter. Anyone had any luck using the adapter with a belkin car fm transmitter?

The adapter inexplicably isn't out yet. "October" is the only official word. Guys at the Apple store said possibly first week.
