Has anyone purchased the Belkin voice recorder? If so, what are your thoughts? I would like to purchase for use in my college lecture halls.

Thanks for any insight,
Matty

Belkin Voice Recorder

I just purchased one yesterday. It's very simple to use. You plug it into the headphone jack on the newer Ipod's (with the dock connectors) and the screen automatically shows the commands for recording. My only complaint is that the Mic oversamples very easily. I wish there were a way to turn the recording levels down. If you were to use it in a lecture hall I think it would work quite well. I've been using it in a rehearsal room and it picks up the conductor's speech quite well, but when everyone starts singing around me, the mic is so sensitive that it becomes a garbled mess. Hopefully someone will add this ability to a future version of the Ipod software. One small bug: A few times after recording when I selected the Save option, the recording I had just made wasn't saved and disappeared forever. Problem was corrected by unplugging and replugging the mic into the Ipod. There's my 2 cents...

my cuz got one, he wasn't able to record the lecturers voice from where he was sitting, so he left it in front of the lecturer's on the lecturers desk and it works like a charm.. the integration in wonderful appraently.
