Any Canadians here with Bell?

Turns out eSIM is available today. I called, they confirmed it to me and told me that this process is done in-store.

Went to multiple Bell stores and got many responses that led to the same results.

They either told me:
  • That eSIM for iPhone wasn’t available yet and had no knowledge of it
  • eSIM QR codes are available, but only with newly activated lines, physical SIM phone numbers cannot be transferred
  • To call customer service

Anyone else had any luck getting their physical SIM’s phone number transferred to eSIM with Bell?

Didn’t know you can transfer to esim. I thought your main, if only using one sim had to be the physical sim:

For me, I assumed eSIM should be your main, if you are a traveler you’d probably want to be able to easily switch SIM cards and not all carriers support eSIM.

Also I read that eSIM can be beneficial since a thief can not remove your SIM card, and you can track the device if it is ever turned on, Control Center can be disabled in Settings if Face ID isn’t unlocked, etc. So eSIM all the way!

Ya, I read some others transferring to esim. Maybe it’s just a CA thing, you guys are backwards up there! o_O;):D

I would give it some time. Most carriers just aren’t ready for it. By end of year!

I got my Bell esim setup online via chat. I gave them my digital IMEI and eid once they got that I was almost setup. The rep said I had to wait upto 4 hours. Not believing this I found a virgin QR code scanned that and my esim was working.

A question for those who have managed to get an eSim. Can you port your current phone number to the eSim? I have two SIM cards and I need to keep both numbers so I would like to know if this is possible.

I setup a new service. But best way to check is do a chat with bell via the internet. I got thru quickly.
Thanks for replying, however I don’t need another line, just to transfer one of my numbers to eSim, either UK or Spanish number, and seriously hoping this is possible. It was the only reason for buying a new phone this year.
