Hi everyone,

Thought i'd share with you guys the results I got by upgrading my 2012 macbook pro 13" from 4gb to the crucial 16gb kit.

See attachment.

Seems like a good upgrade to me! What do you guys think?

Next up is an upgraded SSD, most likely a Samsung 840gb pro 512gb :D

These benchmarks rarely measure the impact of RAM in the overall performance. They usually do the tests with a small amount of data. If you need dealing with a big amount of data, then RAM will make a difference.

If you notice in the screenshot of before and after, the Memory and Stream scores increased quite a bit.

Also, since I have the integrated Intel HD 4000 graphics, it shares the memory with the Ram so the performance will increase there as well.
