I use Unity for game development and have been working with the 2019 16-inch MBP with an i9 and 5500M GPU. While this has been a solid machine for development, I've often struggled in-engine and of course the fan noise has been non-stop. The M1 MAX was an instant buy as a big boost in performance would translate to a big boost in productivity and creative freedom.
