I just realized that one of the reasons why so many iPhone 6 and especially 6+ are because people are buying them and breaking them like it's some sort of boycott against iPhones. You also have people like smashmyiPhone... really?

No. the shortage of iPhone is due to the grey market and the shipment of many of the original batch over to China. Now that Apple has announced an Oct 17th release date for China, I expect to see the output ramp up in the next few weeks. You are already seeing more and more iPhone 6 Pluses become available in Apple stores across the US.
