Benefits of sticker vs back skin?

I just looked through a great thread with some nice pics from **********.net. I was originally planning to go with an ipad leather smart cover and the belkin snap shield secure (when it arrives) but am entertaining the idea of using a back sticker.

What's the benefits? More importantly, any cons to the stickers (ie peeling, unable to remove, residue left on ipad etc?)

go with the case/cover. gives you protection

sticker is purely cosmetic and good for the ego
