The Arstechnica review suggested that the only use of the dedicated graphics card is to run 5k monitors, that it wasn't of much use for real life applications. I imagine that there is some advantage for gaming. But will I notice it in other applications such as video and image processing (Lightroom claims it uses the GPUs)?
 
A lot of contemporary media editing applications can utilize the GPU. Some scientific packages can as well.
