Several weeks ago I replaced my aging iPhone 6s Plus with base model iPhone 14.

Since I got my hands on iPhone 14, I was taking a lot of pictures and short videos. I spend a lot of time out doors and I love hiking.

For the past two weeks, I have watched many videos and read many reviews when comes to wired battery banks and MagSafe battery banks. Looked at everything on Amazon and watched videos.

At the end of the day, I bought a Benks MagSafe 5,000 mah battery bank. $40 on Amazon. Thanks to @addamas recommendation in another thread.

Benks power bank is almost identical in size and shape to apple MagSafe battery.
I bought a white color version.

It has a nice and soft rubber like skin. Almost identical to magsafe belkin air vent mount, which I use. The rubber skin is durable and I wasn’t table to damage it by running my fingers nails through it.

It charges very fast via MagSafe and via cable. As I’m typing this I’m recharging my iPhone 14 via MagSafe and the battery is cool to the touch after 20 min.

Benks power bank has strong magnets. I would have to intentionally flick my wrist as if I was throwing a baseball to separate the power bank from iphone 14. My iphone 14 has the latest Mous 5.0 case.

I have recharged my 5th gen iPad several times from various battery levels via cable. I used coconut battery to compare before and after. Benks delivers a little over 3,500 mah before it quits.
Battery bank did get warm after an hour but with in reasonable and safe temps. At the time battery pack and Ipad were placed on a couch. Which didn’t help with heat deception.

My iPhone 14 has a Mous case. Limitless 5.0 Bamboo case. Benks does not care about bamboo, it charged my iPhone as if it has no case and it barely got warm after 30 min.

It has pass through charging and while using pass through charging the battery did get warm. But maintained same temp for several hours. I’ve tested it on iphone 14 and airpods 3rd gen. As long as I keep the battery on a solid surface, it stayed at low warm temps.

You can’t charge two devices at the same time. It’s either MagSafe or via usb-c cable.

It can’t be fast charged. I’ve tried using Dell laptop 65w charger and +30 watt apple charger. It takes around 3.5 hours to recharge it.

Biggest con!

It doesn’t auto shut off when the battery bank is depleted. Led blinks for half an hour, it will stop charging and will try charging device, over and over. It will charge a device and will stop charging a device. Im not sure if my power bank is defective or that just how it’s been programmed.

It turns off automatically after 10 seconds, once you unplug the cord or disconnect it from MagSafe device; iPhone or AirPods.

Over all I’m happy with the Benks power bank.
