I'm having some issues with my BenQ XL2720T screens connected to my Mac Pro 2014. I've connected two of those screens over a display port cable. When the computer boots up the screens are working perfeclty, but when the computer goes to sleep it often seams as the monitors (who are in Standby mode by then) are keeping the mac awake. So I have to turn the screens off manually so the computer can go to sleep.

The other problem is that the screens are often not recognized by the computer if I turn them back on. In this case I have to completeley disconnect the cable and reconnect it. After that all my windows are resized to the minimum screen size and I have to resize them all.

Is there any solution to this problem or are such screens just not supported by Apple?

If you still have Applecare, you should be able to call Apple support with this type of issue. The Mac Pro is supposed to support all sorts of monitors, not just Apple-made ones.
