Someone sat on my Macbook pro and now my bottom case is slightly bent. I took it to the apple store and they said my optical drive is damaged but they won't fix it. Does anyone know how I can get this fixed without have to pay a lot of money?

If you're not comfortable inside ye olde computer, there are on-line-send-it-in places (like techrestore), local authorised repair centres (who charge more for that "authorised" bit), and most places have local independent apple repair shops.

Apple won't repair problems which ain't due to Apple's poor quality control, or a design defect. If the problems are cause by the end user, then your outta luck. However, if your happy to pay through the roof, they'll be happy to fix anything.
